The schedule for the TRI-COM League up to Christmas
is expected to be released sometime this weekend, it will be posted on our site
once we have it.
Our home games will be Tuesdays 7pm @ Smallwood
Arena.

Rod has lined up a game for this
Friday at 6:00 - 7:00 at Twin Rinks against North East Atom Developmental Team.
The new away jerseys will be handed out for the game.
As well , we are NOT practicing Friday night from 7:00 to 8:00 at
Smallwood Drive Arena.
We WILL be practicing from 7:30 AM to 9:00AM at Smallwood Drive Arena on
Saturday Morning.

Please download and print the
Player Medical Information Sheet that Wayne needs
completed for your son. If you are unable to print this form let
Wayne Rose know and he will bring you a
printed copy at our next practice.
Booster Tickets
We will receive the tickets in the last week of
October and they have to be sold and stubs returned by Nov 18, 2002. The first
draw will be made on Nov 24, 2002. As stated in the all-star letter all parents
must take a minimum of 15 tickets each. If you require any more than this
please let Wayne know by Oct 21, 2002 so he can make arrangements to get more.
Hockey Socks and Name Bars
Wayne has ordered the Hockey socks to match both
Home and Away Jerseys from Bill's Cycle & Sport Shop and we should have them by
the end of this week or early next week. The cost of the socks will be $10 a
pair including taxes. We are allowed to fund raise for
one pair
of socks and this will not be counted towards our one clothing item for the
players.
They will also make and sew on the name bars for
the jerseys for $7.60 a bar including taxes.

Dear Parents,
Mount Pearl Minor Hockey has a
fundraising activity available to all parents in the Association.
The MPMHA ‘BOOSTER’ Draw
is a ticket draw, which takes place every week for 20 weeks with one-half of the
proceeds from the ticket sales going directly to cash prizes. Tickets cost
$5.00 per week for 8 weeks ($40.00) of which $20.00 goes towards the prizes,
$3.00 for an administration fee and $17.00 to your child’s team, which can be
used towards the following:
The value of the cash prizes
are a function of the total number of tickets sold, but in the past the typical
weekly payout has been:

prize $ 300.00

4th
prize $ 200.00
Each ticket is eligible for all
draws.
If you are interested in either
selling or purchasing Booster Tickets, please contact your child’s coach and he
will be able to provide you with more information. The deadline for ordering
tickets this year is October 18, 2002.

Power Skating (2002-03)
Mount Pearl Minor Hockey offers a 10 week
Power Skating Program consisting of 1 hour per week for 10 weeks starting
October 19, 2002. The cost of the 10 week session is $80.00
Another session will start in January 2003.
The instructor for this program is Brian Cranford., Technical Director, MPMHA

Could we all please meet after the practice
Saturday morning for a short while. Rod Noseworthy has been in contact with the
minor hockey organization in Stoney Creek, Ontario. They are hosting an ATOM
Tournament from Jan 23-26, 2003 that looks right up our alley.

Since they are only 1 hour outside of Toronto we should be able to plan a number
of events around this while we are there.

The tickets for the Leafs game on October 22, 2002 are OK with
one exception, we
could not get the family package for this game, it is only available for about 4
dates for this year.
The cost of the tickets are $9.00 each and are to be paid by the end of
the week.
